Clinic on 9/25

This was a particularly interesting day of clinic. The client at 1:30, PH, was a college student who was referred by Disability Services. PH was referred because Disability Services thought that he might have an auditory processing disorder. Otoscopy, tympanometry, reflexes, and pure tone thresholds were all normal with the exception of an occluded left EAM and an increased threshold at 8000 Hz in the left ear. I stayed for 2 hours, but I didn't get to watch the entire diagnostic. However, I did get to watch two different tests for auditory processing disorders. I was also able to see part of another visit with a client who had had a mastoidectomy.

I don't know how it ended. I had to go back to work before the session was over.

I may be able to use this case for class. I have copies of some of the tests used, but, as I said before, I don't know how it ended. :(
